VALVE SOL EVUL8 115V 1/2~X1/2~ Solenoid valves are electromechanically operated valves. The valve is controlled by an electric current through a solenoid: in the case of a two-port valve the flow is switched on or off; in the case of a three-port valve, the outflow is switched between the two outlet ports. The valve works by the magnetic effect of the coil: when the current flows through the coil, a magnetic field is generated in the coil. This magnetic field attracts a plunger (the ferromagnetic core), which is connected to the valve seat, thereby opening or closing the valve.
