Cad Cell Flame Detector [sku] NCO-123195-Reznor Reznor Cad Cell Flame Detector is a flame safe guard control that can be used with intermittent pilot or direct spark ignition systems. It is designed to detect the presence of a flame and shut off the fuel supply if the flame is lost. The Cad Cell Flame Detector uses a cadmium sulfide photocell to detect the ultraviolet radiation emitted by a flame. When the flame is present, the photocell generates a current that is sent to the control unit. The control unit then opens the fuel solenoid valve, allowing fuel to flow to the burner. If the flame is lost, the photocell stops generating current and the control unit closes the fuel solenoid valve, stopping the flow of fuel to the burner. The Cad Cell Flame Detector is a reliable and cost-effective way to protect against the risk of a gas explosion.
